an ode to the upstate

Though a northern Ohio girl for most of my life, much of my current work is inspired by my home in the upstate of SC. Nestled right at the foot of the Blue Ridge Mountains, the small town charm, southern hospitality, immense hiking trails, lakes, and waterfalls all play a very key role in the subjects and inspiration behind my paintings.

Each piece is hand-painted on wood and sealed with three layers of brush-on gloss varnish to prevent scratches and chipping and then permanently sealed into the bezel pendant to create an authentic float-frame style piece of art.
